Here’s a scan of the postcard I recently sent to my penpal/cbff Kevin I figured I would wait until after he got it to post an image. When I pulled this monoprint I literally thought “Oh my god this part here is so great but compositionally this is the worst overall image I have ever brought into the world” so I chopped it up on the spot and mailed it off.
I have a wonderful friend who paints and prints me wonderful things. Here is the latest post card he sent me!
I sent my penpal a postcard to commemorate his graduation! He’s beginning art school in the fall and he will continue to be awesome and make awesome things :D

I got my postcard from Eric Saudi today. His work is beautiful, you should definitely check him out. I love seeing organic textural work with grids and formulaic line! This is probably the one thing I’ve found on Tumblr that is most like the kind of work I’m doing, in my opinion. And what a cool guy mailing out postcards! This has me thinking I should do a print postcard… maybe an intaglio? Would anyone be interested?
I just realized that I didn’t start posting images of the art people sent me until after I got my first one, which is still one of my all time favorites. This is where it all started for me! Do yourself a favor and check out Eric’s awesome work.

Stone lithograph with silkscreened liquid tusche I sent to Tanner quite a while ago :-P If you don’t have one yourself, you should probably come see the three of these that are in my BFA show opening this Thursday! And by probably I mean definitely. Especially in the case of Jason Le (although he actually has one of them :-P ).
